Contact and Official Routing

This private reference cannot confirm custody, release anyone, post bond, or obtain an official booking record. The offices below hold or route the records connected with Webster County arrests and should be contacted directly.

Webster County Records Contacts

Use the agency that created or holds the record. Call before visiting, because published fiscal-court hours do not establish sheriff or detention-center records hours.

Webster County Sheriff’s Office
25 US 41-A South
Dixon, KY 42409
Office: 270-639-5067
Dispatch: 270-639-5012
Emergency: 911

Webster County Detention Center
141 Stegall St.
Dixon, KY 42409
Phone: 270-639-7020

The sheriff contact is the routing point for sheriff-created materials. The detention center is the practical route for current jail custody and jail-record questions. No separate sheriff records line, booking-photo fee sheet, or jail records hours were found, so ask the receiving office about the correct custodian, format, fee, and any redaction.

Where to Direct a Request

Identify the person’s exact name, approximate date, record type, and any known booking or case number. An official office can tell you whether the request belongs elsewhere.

  • Use the official JailTracker for a current local-custody check.
  • Call the detention center for booking, jail-log, custody, or jail-record routing.
  • Call the sheriff’s office for sheriff-created arrest or incident-record routing.
  • Contact Circuit Clerk Janet Cole at 270-639-9160 or District Court at 270-639-9300 for court-case routing and disposition questions.
  • Use Kentucky KOOL for state-offender locator context, not a fresh county booking.
  • Use the BOP or ICE locator for their separate federal or immigration custody systems.

Written Open-Records Requests

Kentucky’s open-records framework calls for a written request that clearly describes the record. For a Webster booking sheet, photograph, release record, or jail log, send the request to the jailer or sheriff rather than to the county clerk merely because the clerk publishes a model policy. Ask for the statutory basis of any denial or redaction.

The county clerk policy describes a five-business-day written response framework and a paper-copy charge, but it is not the sheriff’s fee schedule. The jail has not published a current booking-photo fee. Request an estimate before seeking a large file or image.
